Plyometrics Workshop
Jumping ability plays a major role in Taekwon-Do. From flying foot techniques to explosive hand techniques, the same fast-twitch muscle fibres that help you jump higher also underpin speed, power, and sharp acceleration throughout your training.
This Plyometrics Workshop is a practical, instructor-led session designed to show you how to safely and effectively improve your jumping ability using targeted drills that can be done at home with minimal equipment.
Why plyometrics matter in Taekwon-Do
Plyometric training focuses on developing fast-twitch muscle fibres, which are critical for explosive movement. In Taekwon-Do, this directly supports:
- Higher and more controlled flying techniques
- Improved take-off speed and reactivity
- Greater power generation from the legs and hips
- Better overall athleticism for both patterns and sparring
If you have ever thought, “I’m just not a good jumper,” this workshop addresses that mindset directly. With correct progressions and consistency, jumping ability can be significantly improved at almost any age.
What the workshop includes
This session runs for approximately 1 hour and 7 minutes and takes you step-by-step through a structured series of plyometric drills. The emphasis is on correct technique, safety, and exercises that deliver results without excessive strain.
The workshop also includes a separate introductory video specifically for those who are new to plyometrics, making this an excellent resource whether you are just starting out or looking to refine your existing training.
