Advanced Sparring Drills
In this Inside TKDC release, coach Ricardo Gonzalez works with Camila Urbina on advanced sparring drills designed to sharpen footwork, timing, and control under pressure. The session begins with a side kick drill using a ladder as an apparatus to make the movement pattern more demanding and to build agility and strength in the supporting leg. In the next drill, a kick pad is added to bring the same movement into a practical sparring application.

In the clip above, Ricardo takes Camila through the first part of a side kick sparring drill using a ladder. The ladder makes the footwork extremely challenging and helps develop agility and strength through the supporting leg.
