Dynamic Stretching

In this clip Grand Master Pierre Laquerre (9th dan) shows one of the dynamic stretching exercises he uses with the use of a chair.

Dynamic stretching is best done near the start of your training session, either as a warm-up or for the specific purpose of increasing flexibility. This is a modified side rising kick drill where you open the hips and let the foot relax and point up. This stretches and opens the hips in a way that can’t be achieved without using the chair to take your weight.

The full video shows many more dynamic stretching exercises as well as static and PNF stretching to help with flexibility and kicking.
