The Black Belt Grading Checklist Every Instructor Should Use
A free checklist that helps instructors prepare red belts for black belt gradings without the stress.
One of the most stressful times for a Taekwon-Do instructor is when a student reaches red belt and begins preparing for their black belt grading. Suddenly the pressure is on – for the student, their family, and you as the instructor. There is a lot to cover, and it is easy for something important to get missed.
Over the years I found that having a simple but thorough checklist made a huge difference. It ensures that every important area is covered before grading day arrives. That is why I created this Black Belt Grading Checklist.
You can download it free and give it to your senior students to guide their preparation. It helps them stay organised, track their progress, and arrive at grading day feeling confident and ready.
What you will get
When you download the checklist you will receive:
- A clear Black Belt Preparation Checklist you can use with your students
- A PDF version ready to print and use immediately
- A Word version so you can easily adjust it to suit your own syllabus or club
The checklist is based on the ITFNZ syllabus, but it can easily be adapted for any Taekwon-Do school. You are welcome to customise it and use it with all of your students.
Bonus Resource
Inside the checklist you will also find a link to an online theory test that can be used to help prepare students for their black belt grading. Many instructors find this a valuable extra tool when preparing senior students.
