Taekwon-Do – The Art of Self Defence (1965) by Gen Choi
This is the first book in published in English, and one of the first in any language other than Korean. It shows that early on, there was an association between Karate and Taekwon-Do.
It includes the traditional forms of of Funakoshi's Shotokan School. These patterns were practiced by many of Taekwon-Do's earliest pioneers, including Gen Choi, when they were taught karate in Japan.

This historic 1966 Republic of (south) Korea’s Army Taekwon-Do Manual was

Magazine.
As a young Soldier he was issued this book and used it as a guide to teachwhen deployed to Vietnam during their Civil War. Grandmaster Jung also used it as a
tool to teach himself the Chon-Ji set of forms that became known as the Chang Hon
Patterns, after the Pen Name of the principle designer General Choi Hong-Hi.
15 Volume encyclopedias by Gen Choi (122m)
This is the first edition of the 15 volume encyclopaedia - so beware, it contains many techniques that were later changed. For example, notice the inner forearm blocks in Yul-Gok are high instead of middle. Still, most of it is current and it is certainly an amazing digital reference.
Condensed Enclyclopedia (1999) By Gen Choi
There are parts of it where the OCR scanning has not quite worked properly to be aware of some blocks of text having slightly shifted.

How to open a new Club (with 100 students on the floor)
By Grand Master Paul McPhail
Since becoming a Taekwon-Do Instructor, I have opened four new clubs. Two of those had around 100 new members on the floor on the first night! How was this possible and can it be repeated? In this thesis you will see exactly how it was done, why it worked, and how it is possible to do it again.
This essay is 20 years old now but much of the information still holds true.
The Science of Board Breaking
From its very foundation, Taekwon-do has paid attention to the importance of harnessing
the insights of science for both pedagogical and practical reasons (as highlighted by the
above quotation). This essay will seek to explore the science of board breaking and some
aspects of the theory of power along the way.
A very helpful thesis kindly contributed by the author Mr James Montier.
