You Stop!
Don’t finish on a “fail” when you are training for breaking. Finish on a win.
Mr Doogan’s advice is to just “STOP” if things aren’t going well. Otherwise you training yourself to fail. Use easy breaks like single boards and practice those again and again. Over time gradually build up the number or difficulty of boards as you succeed. So much of breaking is mental – so this approach is helpful to all levels of breakers.
