Thoracic Spine band exercise
Mr Mike Lowe explains with this exercise how we want to keep your hips stable.
The movement that we’re going to perform has to come from the upper body, the thoracic spine. We don’t want the movement coming from our hips. And the idea is to use your thoracic spine to rotate in one direction. So you’re actually allowing the band to pull you into an extra rotation type movement, finding an extra range of motion, and then you’re using the muscles that you use for rotation to pull the band back. So this part here is the strengthening part.
