Eui-Am Tul: Reverse Turning Kick

The reverse turning kicks in Eui-Am tul are the major challenge to any new 2nd dan. Not only should there be power in the kick, but it must also stop sharply with perfect balance. Mr Trotter analyses what Phillipa needs to do to achieve this, beginning with breaking the movement into three separate parts: Turning the body first, bringing the leg around next, then using the shoulder to maintain the stable position.
