Coach Me – Turning Kick
The turning kick can be challenging for many, as it requires a good deal of mobility to get the knee into a nice high load position before and after the kick. In this COACH ME session Master Paul McPhail offers Niketa Wells some tips by bringing a video of World Champion Mark Trotter alongside as a comparison. From this he suggests:
- Correct the angle of the kicking foot
- Turn the supporting kick or to enable a better hip and body position
- Lean back slightly (possible once the supporting foot is correct)
